Ann Taylor grew up in LaGrange, Georgia and began her automotive career in Atlanta. She came to Augusta in 1983 when she purchased her first automotive dealership in North Augusta, SC. Since opening her doors to the CSRA with her Toyota store, she grew her dealer group, in 1993, to include BMW, Hyundai, & Infiniti franchises and just acquired the Jaguar and Land Rover stores in November of this year. Ann has received national recognition from many distinguished organizations in recent years. Consistently ranking in the top 25 BMW Dealerships in the Nation, Taylor BMW has been recognized by BMW, North America, as a BMW Center of Excellence. The American International Automobile Dealer’s Association Newsweek Magazine named her one of five All Star Dealers of the Year in 2001 while Time Magazine recognized her in 1999 as one of the 50 “Quality Dealers” award winners in the nation. Working Women magazine also noted her efforts by ranking her as high as 154 out of the top 500 female owned businesses in America. Ann has always been very active in her community. Since moving to Augusta, she has served on many different boards, including the Augusta Chamber of Commerce, and as President of both the Better Business Bureau and the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce. She served on the Board of Directors for the American International Automobile Dealers Association (AIADA) and the Georgia Automobile Dealers Worker’s Compensation Board. She was also Vice-Chair for the Golden Harvest Food Bank’s Capital Campaign here in Augusta. In addition to all her hard work, she also loves spending time with her grandchildren as well as playing competitive doubles tennis. |
